	I disagree, I think he's one of the best actors of his generation. His performances in The Machinist and American Psycho are incredible. It's nice that he's getting roles in big blockbusters these days, but he should keep doing the independent movies, too.

	Why not Howl's Moving Castle? He was the voice of one of the main characters. (Yes, it's the english language dub, but he still gets credit) Maybe as a bonus....

	I do believe that the quiz is missing the 1990 adaptation of Treasure Island, where Bale plays Jim and Long John Silver is played by Charlton Heston.

	As someone who's been a Balehead since 1995, it's great to see Christian getting recognition as an actor...too bad most people only know him from the Batman movies and American Psycho.

	never knew he'd done so many films. Brilliant in American Pyscho though, it's always a bit worrying when you feel like you can empathise with a murderer, but i suppose that's the point

	I think "Treasure Island" is considered a TV-movie - produced by HBO. I don't agree with the distinction, necessarily, but the quiz title does ask for "feature films".

	he is very hit or miss with me, I thought he was phenomenal in Equilibrium, His acting was great also empire of the sun and American Psycho, But I think Rescue Dawn was terrible, he was pretty bad as Batman although I loved Dark KNight, and 3:10 to yuma was cool, He is an up and down type of guy

	If the distinction is indeed between feature films and TV films, then you are absolutely right about Treasure Island's omission. It's a shame though, I think Bale's Jim in Treasure Island is really quite good.

	Mio Min Mio is pretty interesting, they recorded it with English-speaking actors then dubbed it to Swedish even though it was a Swedish movie. It's great though, you should see it.

	I don't understand the dislike for his Batman portrayal. Yeah the voice is slightly over-the-top but I guess people would like it more if he just used the Bruce Wayne voice all the time. That would really hide his identity well.

	On the "Batman" stuff.. I think the reason most people dislike him in the role is the over-the-topness of the batman voice... But seriously, if your gonna disguise your face why wouldn't you disguise your voice? It's not like it's Joe Somebody.. It's Bruce Wayne, one of the most well known people in Gotham City.. somebody would recognize it if he didn't change it..

	DID NOT KNOW CHRISTIAN BALE WAS IN LITTLE WOMEN. NOBODY TOLD ME. I hear of some of his other movies - I saw Equilibrium, possibly because he was in it. I don't know why I don't hear of these amazing actors until later. I, for one, want to hear more about this guy - I've heard of American Psycho, which I've heard is extremely violent, but somehow I still want to see it. This is going to be extremely difficult.

	Howl's Moving Castle was originally made in Japanese, he wasn't the original voice of the title character. That's my guess as to why it's only a bonus answer.
