Not for stupid Americans like me that blank on Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick even after making a joke involving the latter yesterday.

Is Nunavet fairly new? I memorized the Canadian provinces as a kid, and seem to recall Northwest Territories stretching all the way to Hudson Bay.

I typed northwest territory and it wasn't accepted. I was really confused until the answer popped up. I now feel shame......

Isn't a piece of northern Quebec on the verge of becoming a separate territory?

I agree that 5 minutes is kind of long. There aren't that many! Now, include the provincial/territorial capitals, and throw ottawa in for fun and 5 minutes is more reasonable.

I consider myself a worldly and sophisticated Yank because I can name 12 of the 13 (I used to know Nunavut but I forgot) and I can spell Saskatchewan.

There have been several attempts of separation of Quebec but they have all failed.

Can Prince Edward Island be changed to a different colour? I was trying to work out why it said 12/13 when there was a name on each colour.

@ LeeC- I think it is a different color, but it is narrow enough that it is dominated by the black outline. the province is the little island north of the border between nova scotia and new brunswick, not the big purple island.

I had the same problem as LeeC. I got 12/13, which is better than I thought I would do. Also it took a while to figure out how to spell Saskatchewan. Thanks for the geography quizzes though, they help so much with remembering countries, cities, and states.

I think 5 minutes is a good amount of time for the Americans. I got stuck after I filled in eastern canada, I couldn't remember Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Yukon and I had never herd of Nunavut. It makes me feel much better to know that it is new.

Yeah, nhrafan, PEI is tiny. that big old island you're referring to is Anticosti Island, which has quite an interesting history. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticosti_Island
