Probably too much time - you can get the ones you actually know then just guess the rest until you get it right!

It took me seven capitals to come up before I realized I was naming countries and not capitals. That is not a good sign.

two minutes less to really cut down on the cheaters, i got them all with about 2 minutes left by copy and pasting the countries into each box :-/

I have to agree on the time thing. I guessed for most of them until I got them all. Also, for some odd reason I always remember the capital of Tuvalu is Funafuti . . . just because their airport code is FUN. I know, I'm a weirdo.

Can't believe more people get the New Zealand capital over the Australian one. Only actually knew four, NZ, Aus, PNG and Fiji, the rest I got through guessing. Needs a time reduction.

@Sesel: It's true that Nauru doesn't have an official capital, but for the sake of Sporcle quizzes it's always listed as Yaren.

1 minutes enough time, you either know them or you don't, guessing/copying and pasting is the same as cheating off a website

Didn't do to well on this one. But most of those answers did look familiar from Survivor though!

Yeah, in the interests of full disclosure, too much time - I only knew Australia and New Zealand, and was able to get the rest by randomly pasting them in (which I don't think is *quite* as bad as totally cheating - at least I have to know the countries of Oceania - but it isn't in the spirit of the point of the quiz).

I only knew 8 of them and by then it was super easy to just guess the rest.. so yeah agreed with everyone else.

Good quiz, just a little more time would be useful (I would prefer the time limit set at 10 mins)

I agree with Guinevere - copying and pasting is different from getting everything right on the first try, but it's not the same as getting the right answers from a website. Most people (ie, those who aren't obsessed with Sporcle) would do terribly even if they copied and pasted, because they wouldn't be able to name countries like Palau and Tuvalu off the top of their heads.

This one and South America were always going to be easy because there aren't many countries. But that doesn't make them bad quizzes and it would be silly to only do the other four continents.

Oh us Sporclers, the 25% getting all of them (me included) shows we've spent far too much time learning the countries!

It's true that Nauru does not have an official capital, and it makes absolutely no sense to try to pretend that it does for any reason. Either the quizzes need to have factual information or else this site has lost its educational value. There is nothing educational or mentally stimulating about learning incorrect information.

Wow! NZ proving to be more well known than our mates over the ditch in Aussie (albeit by only 2.5%). Thanks Sporcle, its always good to get one over on our neighbours!

Agreed that it's too much time. I only knew Australia and New Zealand and got the rest by trial and error because I've done the countries of Oceania quiz too many times.

@mred: I kinda have the same question. I was doing a trivia quiz on an app on my phone which said that Ngerulmud is the capital of Palau. I only knew it from Sporcle quizzes, but thought it was Melekeok. So, I googled Palau and found conflicting info between Wikipedia (Ngerulmud) and the CIA World Factbook (Melekeok). I'm inclined to go with the CIA and Sporcle. Does anyone know for sure?
