lol, I kinda um, talk to myself when taking these quizzes like saying the answers and stuff and musing over possible choices; I got to Luxembourg and I was like 'Luxembourg...luxembourg!? Luxembourg!' lol you had to be there..that moment of ironic enlightenment was hilarious.

A lot easier than and more enjoyable than having to enter the capitol when the country is given.

Agreed that it's fun to be quizzed in the opposite direction than we're used to. Seven minutes seems awfully generous to me, though.

I'm horrible at geography, and I have the scores to prove it, but did my knowledge that both Andorra and San Marino exist as countries really separate me from almost a third of the website? Hm.

I agree with tgav--the random jumping around in rather annoying. They are already in random order, so why not just straight down the list? It would be much faster to type that way. Well, I guess then some people would just learn what goes in the third blank instead of which country it goes with.

Good quiz! It probably is a bit too long, though...I got through all the ones I knew with enough time left to systematically guess the ones I didn't and get them all. Of course, I wouldn't have been able to do that if I hadn't played the Countries of Europe quiz a gazillion times... ;)

lukejameslarson - but Bosnia isn't a country by its own right. It's called Bosnia Herzegovina for a reason! U can't just call it Bosnia - it's like calling New Zealand "Zealand" or Costa Rica "Rica" or Sri Lanka "Lanka"!!!

it's been awhile since buzzing through all the European countries and capitals quizzes, so this was quite a workout. Loved it

@ ali - mainly because i can never remember how to spell herzegovina. secondly, it's a lot to type. it's not really the same as zealand vs. new zealand. it's more akin to the serbia-montenegro... which is now seperate, although easier to spell. also.... i know some people from b.h. who simply refer to themselves as being "from bosnia." though that may be for the sake of simplification. who knows? i'm just looking to make the quiz a little more user-friendly.

Okay. Really. This quiz has pretty much already been done in different incarnations, but you still haven't done SO many quizzes (including very unique and NEW ones I recommended)! Hopefully soon, thanks. :)

This quiz reminded me of when your teacher quizzes you at the end of the review session after you've already been through everything ad nauseam, and he mixes everything up to act like he's testing your knowledge, but he already knows damn well that you have it down and you can tell by his voice that he really just wants to get home in time to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

@Movieynamic: technically, something can't be VERY unique. unique means one of a kind. you can't have varying degees of that. sorry. pet peeve. but I agree that, although I love geography quizzes, these do seem to be getting redundant

Cool mix up, but are we already so out of original sporcle quiz ideas that we need to resort to doing old quizes backwards? I'm not complaining, I enjoyed it, I'm just worried is all

On quizzes like this is there an easier way to skip an answer then having to click on a new field? It feels like we should be able to hit Tab or something to skip around... anybody know?

took me 3 minutes and 42 seconds on the first try without making a single mistake or spelling anything wrong. NO WAY I'd ever be able to do that without this site and way way too much free time. I love SPORCLE!

@lukejameslarson: perhaps the people you know are from the area of Bosnia :) It covers about 2/3 of Bosnia-Herzegovina, being the northern part of the country, whereas Herzegovina is the southern.

@Josh - it's possible, but more likely is that they're just casually referring to the whole country as Bosnia, as almost everyone does...

The other capital quizes are made to be answered in order, so I can see the logic behind this. This screams for sequels: other continents, US States, The World.....

Very easy. Nothing wrong with that and I wouldn't normally comment on it but the tag line of `So, you think you learned your capitals or Europe...' does kinda suggest that this was going to be something super-hard.

Interesting thing happened to me during this quiz. I know the capitals, no problem (being a map-head all my life). But that lifelong addiction worked against me. Seeing "Belgrade" pop up.... all my mind could think was "Yugoslavia"! I literally stopped cold. Very interesting.

Also, technically, the UK is a collection of the countries of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. These should really have their own capitals in the quiz as well.
