D'oh gave up before getting to PEI. Nunavut didn't exost when I was in school. I had no shot at that one.

SafetyBear, his hat is bigger but 50% of it lives within 50 miles of his head. Also it's about 20 or 30 times less densely populated. But it doesn't have as many geese or beavers probably. So I guess it's even

I should really go to Canada- I've only been there once, and that was ten years ago, even though I live less than six hours (and have previously lived 3 1/2 hours) away from it. The one time I went was lovely, though- Quebec (City) is a beautiful place. What was the point of this? Oh yeah, I got seven.

@Mr. Negative. Okay I'm not that stupid, I'm not going to claim that Canada has more world power/importance than the states. But your comment about canada being America's hat seemed to be a mostly geographically based joke, therefore my reply was similarly so.

When you think about it...do Canadian's really need all that land...population of somewhere around 14 million I mean, what can they possibly be doing with all that extra land...I'm not really implying anything but if the cabinet of homeland security is reading this *wink-wink*

@zalagreensbury, not quite sure where you got your population information, but it's closer to 33 million. Still, a lot of wasted space, but you're welcome to move to the Arctic-I sure won't!

As a kid, I always felt lucky that we only needed to learn the names and capitals of 10 provinces and two territories (Nunavut wasn't one back then yet), whereas our neighbours to the south had a whopping 50 states and capitals to go through. (Although, now with Sporcle's help, I can definitely tackle the 50 states and capitals, too.)

I actually got that number from the History channel...I'm serious, they said 16 million and this was like a month ago cause they did some comparison to the population of Canada to that of California's. So, I don't know what that's about. And 33 million population for a country bigger than the US, I mean Russia's got 140 million...just saying.

Being a history teacher and all, the population is now over 34 million. 16 million of those people live within 4 areas of the country, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and the Edmonton-Calgary corridor.

No, I believe you guys hell, google said it too I just remember hearing them say 16 million and thinking 'Wow, no one lives there' if anyone's seen a series they had called 'The States' that's when they said it during the California episode. Brandon, that was one of the dumber things to say...I guess the channel to find out about Canada or anything other country is of course 'Cartoon Newtork' *wtf*

I moved from Canada to the US 21 years ago, so I guess I'll forgive myself Iqaluit, but I'm so ashamed I missed Whitehorse as well. I've losing all my Canadian essence. I've stopped saying eh, and I hardly ever watch the NHL. I guess you can't go home again.

I hate to be a bother, but Frobisher Bay is so much easier to spell than Iqaluit, and that was its name just 22 years ago. No disrespect to the Inuit, but can that be an alternate answer?
