	Darwin never got a knighthood but at least he got a College named after him :) Peterhouse is now 725 years in business ? Is that a world record for any college I wonder ?

	Has been 8 years since I started as a student there. To get them all I have to work my way around the town and think of all the student bars! Great quiz that brings back some lovely memories!

	Good quiz - but the dates are wrong around "s" - they work in order if you list the "St " colleges under st rather than saint. So: 1882 = Selwyn; 1596 = Sidney; 1473 = Catz; 1896 = St Edmunds; 1511 = St Johns.

	Seems a little harsh to ignore Ridley Hall and include Clare Hall...is Ridley Hall not a college?

	@Dubliner University College at Oxford was founded in 1249. That's for oldest English University element. Worldwide, I think Timbuktu or somewhere in the North African Islamic world has older establishments.

	@Bookworm; don't feel bad, it took me two attempts and I've been to each of them. @Joni; No, Ridley Hall isn't officially regarded as a college by the University. I cannot recall the reason but I think it's something to do with matriculation. Sidney had a number of students who officially were matriculated at Sidney but were unofficially based at Ridley (and/or the other theological para-colleges). I am slightly hurt that full half the people taking the quiz can't remember my college. :( Be that as it may, Riddler is correct in saying the dates are wrong. I mean, do you really think St Ed's dates from the 1500s? 1596 is definitely Sidney, I don't know about the others. P.S. - I feel 'Caius' should suffice as an entry. Who goes around saying 'Gonville'?

	Didn't do too badly, having siblings there really helps! Tried spelling 'Pembroke' as 'Pembrook' for ages, though. :)

	OK, same comment I just made on the Oxford quiz: you never used to have to type 'College' out after every name (bar the tiny handful that aren't 'X College'), why do you know? It really seems very unnecessary.

	Disappointed that "The College of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint John the Evangelist and the glorious Virgin Saint Radegund, near Cambridge" isn't accepted for Jesus. Otherwise, good quiz!

	Ugh, I missed loads of really obvious ones because I was so busy trying to remember Newnham (I didn't). Re. the oldest university in the world - I think it's in Fez, Morocco. I've been there, but I wasn't listening to the tour guide properly so not sure if I'm right in thinking it's the oldest.
