Even if I don't think I know anything about a topic, I'll give almost every Sporcle quiz a try. I though there were a lot of people who did the same, but last I checked only 16 people had taken this quiz, compared to almost 1000 who took the web icon one that was posted at the same time.

God there are some whingers on this site. To reiterate, you don't pay to be a member, you don't pay for every quiz posted, it would be amazing if every quiz posted was up your street and so what if they aren't as long as MOST are. Yes, sure you Yanks might not like this quiz, but then the many Brits on this site generally have little idea about the latest NHL, AFL, NBA quiz posted, and are (rightly) considered churlish when they complain.

We were asleep so we didn't have time to moan yet :P Are Sporcle's times right? I live in GMT zone but it's only 8am I wouldn't say it's churlish of us to get annoyed every now and again. The geography quizzes and some of the others were quite general, but now they're all on US pop culture. So we'll have our terrible soap quiz with pride ;)

Great quiz lets have more like it for us brits, there are far too many U.S quizzes but do you hear us moaning? NO If you don't like it get off the page. Bring on the negs!!

The worst bit is when on the US quizzes there are the odd mention of 'too American' but in the main it is a discussion of the quiz. However, we get a UK one about once a week out of thirty odd quizzes, and noone even mentions anything to do with the quiz, just moans about US vs UK. I shall change this!

I was running for a train once and knocked Joe Absolom right over. He was very polite about it. And I repay that by spelling his name wrong! Good quiz!

i got an embarassing amount right, but it is indeed a rubbish quiz. i look forward to the uk-based quizzes so don't waste the m on this nonsense - how about the england world cup squad for the 1990 world cup - now that would be a good challenge.

although being british i would have had more chance naming the 10 most unheard of nfl players than get more than 3 in this

You guys are burying the lead. The key term here to discriminate in the quiz isn't "British", it's "Soap Awards."

Never mind US vs UK, I think it's scandalous that no-one from Emmerdale has won in the last 10 years! I'm sure Dolly the sheep must have been a strong contender...

Wow I'm good at confusing my actors. I typed Wendy Richards while trying to get Barbara Windsor, Natalie Casey while trying to get Natalie Cassidy, Patsy Kensit while trying to get Patsy Palmer, Chris Tucker (yeah, I know) while trying to get Chris Fountain, and then confused Tony Hadley with Martin Kemp. In the end I got 0/22.

Embarrassed to say I got them all. Got Joe Absolom with 2 seconds to spare, knew he was called Joe and was on the Sun-Pat peanut butter commercials as a kid but couldn't remember his surname til the last 2 seconds.

I didn't do very well - I only watch Eastenders. So I'm going to console myself by watching Eastenders.

Ok. Is this even an accurate list? I got 0. So I do what I always do when I get zero, I go reading. And (not that wikipedia is the end all), but it disputes a few of these answers and claims someone else was the winner of these awards. Just wondering what would be a more accurate source for me to read about these soap actors?

I see the yanks think they have the monopoly on everything yet again. You get BBC in the US don't you? So really, claiming it's 'too UK' won't wash, because you could watch Brit soaps if you were inclined. They are better too, at least we have normal looking people in ours, i.e fat and a bit ugly, unlike the US where they are all botoxed and fake :) Mark me dowwwnnnn......

How Alex Fearns who played Trevor the abuser never got at least one award is unbelievable, his performance was mesmeric.
