Yeah, I thought there was a strawweight. Also thought there was a cruiserweight.

I think cruiserweight might be the same as light heavyweight.

Cruiserweight is relatively new in pro boxing. Not sure if it ever existed in Olympic boxing. In the pros, light heavy goes up to 175 lbs and cruiser is up to 190, I think.

strawweight should be an accepted answer, as should be cruiser, which is NOT the same as light heavyweight. also, junior should be accepted as well as "light" whatever.

This is the list of weight classes in the Olympics, as set out by the AIBA, which should be specified in the rules at the top to avoid confusion.

I just thought of all of the weight classes that I could think of, and then just added "light" to all of them, but light lightweight didn't make sense.

Why is featherweight heavier than bantamweight. A bantam is a hen. A hen is heavier than a feather.

Shouldn't have to type weight on each one.

Was never what you could call a boxing fan, but because I watch all kinds of sports programming and reading general sports magazines, often heard many of the divisions mentioned enough times to remember most of them. Funny to think, by Olympic standards I'd be considered a heavyweight at 190 pounds.

same here, omnipotent. i've heard of lightweight as an insult, but didn't know it was an actual weight class. and i always found "light heavyweight" humorous.

I think in pro boxing there is a super flyweight. I also agree that typing weight each time is unnecessary.

Cruiserweight and strawweight are pro weight classes. They're not used in the olympics.
