Tree FORT? sigh. Should have known the BL's would have hire aspirations than a mere tree house.

Like Chris said, John Merrick's name is spelled incorrectly. Please fix it.

Great. Now the chorus of the song is stuck in my head, AND I CAN'T REMEMBER A SINGLE SPECIFIC ITEM!!! Thanks a lot!

I was going nuts, because I knew SOMETHING like "tree house" was on there. Got hung up on it.

I just mumbled/hummed the whole song in my head and still only got 2...I know HOW they sing it, I just dont know what they're saying. Oh and I was hoping "I'd be rich" would be on there at least as a bonus.

I love BNL. We don't really appreciate them enough in the U.S.A.

i'm thinking maybe an extra minute? after all...the song itself is longer than the time you have to complete this quiz for those of us trying to sing it in our head

This song is practically the unofficial 2nd national anthem of Canada. When the CBC held a vote for the bast Canadian songs of all time, this song was #2 behind Four Strong Winds. Seriously.

Woulda done much better if I didn't keep having the wrong lyrics in my head. For anybody who lives in the maritimes, you may know of a song called If I Caught a Million Lobsters as a parody. Every time I'd sing a line from the BNL version, I'd switch the lyrics to the parody and get the wrong answers.

@SilverCup I had a similar problem. I'm more familiar with the Brobdingnagian Bards' version, "If I Had A Million Ducats".

amazing quiz idea. It is so hard to think of these without the music and them singing along. Over and over, I thought, If I had a million dollars... thinking it would just pop in my head and I blanked on about half of them.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. As a huge BNL fan (at least, I was back in the day... "Barenaked Ladies Are Me" is an incredibly terrible album), this is one of my favorite quizzes in recent memory. (With that said, it took me until the last 13 seconds to get 'em all- I had to mute the TV so I could sing to myself, and even still, the second verse stumped me for a few moments.) Oh, BNL, you'll always be in my heart.

It should accept "A Nice Reliant Automobile" if it takes things like "sausages".

The parenthetical comment about John Merrick should actually read: (all them crazy elephant bones).

I had to google to find out why it wasn't accepting "John Davidson's Remains" as an answer. Apparently the live version I have on my iPod changed that lyric from the original.

I agree with NCBerge about the "reliant automobile" and think it should also accept "all them crazy elephant bones" because I don't know who John Merrick is and spent the last forty-five seconds typing "maron... marin... merrin... merril... merryl... merit... mera....."

Nice, but the things you have to type are inconsistent. "Kraft" instead of "Kraft Dinner" but "Green Dress", not just "Dress"
