	@raveneleni - not true, i am afraid - imo the uk top 20 albums of 2008 is much better, featuring such artists as Duffy, Kings of Leon, Coldplay, The Killers, Nickleback, The Script, Amy Winehouse, Stereophonics, Oasis and Snow Patrol alongside Leona Lewis and Rihanna - way more varied than the US list, and absolutely no bands manufactured by Disney. Of course, the list also includes Abba and Celine Dion, so maybe its not all good.....

	This list doesn't surprise me. I teach guitar in the bay area and all my 9-13 year olds cite Jonas bros as their favorite band. Nothing pleased me more than when a kid asked to learn Don't Fear the Reaper. The saddest part, there are some really great bands out there that will never make this list. My top 20 of 2008 would only share one album with this list...Mariah Carreys. Just kidding!

	It's amazing to me that you people are worried about what music people are listening to in this country, and using THAT to say that this country is messed up. There are plenty of things that are ruining this country, and I'm sorry the Jonas Brothers aren't one of them. Ruining good music, maybe. But the country? Give me a break.

	@lostnone, that's not really much of a defense for the UK charts, although admittedly it isn't quite as bad as the US charts. There aren't any great albums in your list, it's all middle-of-the-road rubbish. But the charts have almost always been awful, so who cares?
