8 minutes does not seem like a lot of time for this.

It's nice to see my favorite Harry Potter website mentioned on my favorite Quiz/Trivia website. That being said, this was a fun quiz!

@andyisastar - I think that one would fall under "mucous." That being said, I wish it would take bogey or booger, since that's what I remembered from the books.

Wow! I never knew there were so many of them! I tried several "normal" flavours which didn't come up. J.K. Rowling is brilliant for coming up with all of these flavors. I'll definitely try and remember more of these flavors. Thanks Sporcle! A fun quiz to tackle when we wait for the new movie!

If you accept "gas" for "petrol," you should also accept "cotton candy" for "candy floss"-- they're both just the North American equivalents.

Great quiz. What about a quiz where you would have to name the horcrux, the person killed to make it, and where it was hidden?

In addition to the comments of some that "Bogey" should be OK for "mucous", "snot" and "mucus" should also have been acceptable.

You'd think earwax would be the number one guessed, considering the famous Dumbeldore quote jesus brought up.

I think mint should be acceptable for peppermint. Also, peanut could probably be safely accepted for peanutS. I was also close on a couple others, although I can understand why it wasn't accepted. Such as 'beans' instead of baked beans

"Gum" should be enough for "chewing gum," as should "peanut" for "peanuts" as mentioned above.

Tripe is the lining of a cow's stomach, many people find it good tasting my Dad loved the stuff.. if you want to know how it tastes find Campbell's Pepper Pot Soup, it has tripe in it.

@mathias1979: Mint & Peppermint are separate answers (and flavours!) Also, there are several "beans" on the list: kidney, lima, fried. ...and more people picked "vomit" than "chocolate"?!? Hey, Ben & Jerry, have I got an idea for you!

I've seen earthworm ones before. Also why isn't cotton candy accepted for candy floss? Candy floss is just cotton candy in the UK.

@papercrab: After I ran out of the ones I remembered from the books, I just guessed based on two criteria: flavors pretty much every brand includes, and flavors no sane brand would consider including.

Would it be unfair to assume anyone who got all of them was cheating at least a little? It seems to me it would, but people always complain, so I don't know. Is anyone actually able to get them all/

The grass jelly beans are actually pretty good. The vomit ones...yeah, they're tough to eat. Dirt is difficult to digest as well.

In my opinion, sardine is the worst one. Dirt is not as bad as sardine, not even close. Vomit is disgusting though. I wish they (Jelly Belly) had included more Harry Potter themed ones. Like butterbeer or firewhiskey. Fizzing whizzbees and bloodpop.

Yeah, the vomit ones were bad, but I couldn't stomach the sardine. That was a whole different level of nasty. MissDemeter is dead on.

fairy floss should be accepted as an alternative to candy floss - that's what it's known as in Australia. Also, I believe mucous should be spelt 'mucus'
