Sigh. Didn't type "sherbet" on the end of the sherbets (just like I didn't type "ice cream" on the end of the ice creams...)

Dan- the quiz is for the "original" 31 flavors, I assume that's before cookie dough came out. Good quiz idea, may I suggest a Ben and Jerry quiz as well!

Cookies and Cream was created by Blue Bell in Texas....wouldn't be on this list. Some of these old flavors sound truly hideous. Ick!

jhunterj: It seems to me that if the word "sherbert" was in the name of the flavor (which it was), it is reasonable to require us to type "sherbert". http://www.latimes.com/news/obituaries/la-me-robbins_flavors,0,5080199,full.story On the other hand, as the word "ice cream" was not in the name of the other flavors, there is no need to type "ice cream".

Sherbert is not ice cream, so of course you need to type that. Raspberry sherbert is not raspberry ice cream. I'm sad my favorite flavor wasn't one of the originals, although it's been there since I was a kid: Cherries Jubilee

Booger, no problem with allowing sherbet (or sherbert), but I disagree that it should be required. Allowing them with just the flavor part of the flavor name would be like allowing "UAE" or "Saint Vincent" on the geography quizzes. "Mint chocolate" was allowed, even though that wasn't the official name, which is the right approach -- reward the idea, not the letter.

A lot of people don't know that the original slogan was "31 flavors -- most of them chocolate."

I was glad that at least sherbet was spelled correctly - I'm always surprised how many people misspell that word - including ice cream places. I think Maple Walnut should work for maple nut. That was my grandmother's favorite flavor.

I only got 7, which I assumed would be terrible, yet somehow it's better than most. I only eat chocolate so I don't really know what other flavors exist. I assumed most normal people with more varied palates would get a lot more right.

I did not like the one. I grew up on this stuff and these are NOT the flavors that I know. Next time pick a specific era.
