	Don't most quizzes have the asterisk for active players by the number and not concealed until you get it? I'm pretty sure that would have helped out on Q.

	I can never pull out Killebrw's name on these things. Tried every spelling of McGwire until I thought of Mays. Hooray for the non-roiders!!!! Utley is up now. Who was the U player before?

	I've never believed Sporcle quizzes should be spelling quizzes (unless they ARE spelling quizzes), so I try to put in many alternate spellings. Yaz should be good enough.

	GREAT idea. @Long Don: Stat based quizzes will be difficult for the Negro League players because the recordkeeping is spotty. Some have theorized that Josh Gibson hit 900 HR, but baseball historians theorize that much of that number came from barnstorming games.

	Cocky, Willie Upshaw was the "U" answer before. ... Btroup1, Negro League record keeping is probably not perfect but is not bad for league games after 1920. Gibson of course hit nowhere near 900 HR in league games (I think the seasons were only around 40 or 50 games long). While hardly anyone knows the actual numbers, you could have a quiz just to guess the names for most career HR (it's not Gibson!), wins, hits, etc. And you don't have to have statistical quizzes -- could have one to identify all Negro Leaguers who played in the Majors, for example.

	ha! I knew it was Inky but for the life of me couldn't spell is last name right so I just put "inky" and it accepted it. Thanks alot sporcle for allowing my favorite nickname when I was growing up in Arlington.

	@Knuckles - I agree that the idea for that type of quiz is a good one. If for no other reason, it would make us think of all baseball, instead of just MLB. I just wanted to make a point about stat-based quizzes, since it would start a whole lotta arguing. As a suggestion (if you haven't already), there is a HOF quiz that features the players who were voted into Cooperstown.

	I wonder how many Teddy Ballgame would have hit if he had not been in the servce TWICE during his prime years. He also lost !/2 season with a broken collar bone in an all star game! Prob lost 5 1/2 seasons.
