	I did terribly for the daughter of a man who's livelihood is tennis. I forgot some very obvious ones, couldn't quite spell others, and still others I could see but I'd be damned if I could get their names out. Thanks for another shining tennis quiz! I'm surprised the Oz Open hadn't been one before.

	Hewitt's made it to the finals once against Safin in 05; he came into the finals really rested while Marat had just finished the 5-set, 4-hour marathon in the semis against Federer. Hewitt had the edge and that was his best opportunity to win. Otherwise, he has routinely choked in his home tournament, never making it past the 4th round in any other year. It's quite sad when you think about it.

	Got 65 which I'm happy about. Couldn't spell Gerulaitis. Some of these I've never heard of (one each for 76-80). Wikipedia article on the subject explains why so many of the major players are missing in the mid 70s to early 80s (Connors winning 1 and Borg/McEnroe 0).

	captain: they moved the date of the Open. So they had one in January 1977 and instead of having the next one in January 1978, they just moved it up a couple of weeks to December 1977. It stayed that way until 1987, which is why you notice there's no 1986 listed here. Because they moved it back to January.

	Korda was a drugs cheat so the 98 tournament would have been Marcelo Rios.Edmondson,Tanner,Teacher,Kriek and Johansson are the other shocking winners.All the majors have some poo winners but the Australian has by far the most.It should always have had the same prize money and ranking points as the others.

	I don't see why Tanner is so shocking. He had the best serve in the game for years and damn near beat Borg in their Wimbledon final.

	Yeah he made wimby final and had most powerful serve(not best) but over five sets he only beat Borg and Connors once and never defeated McEnroe in five so having that record against the best he would not have won a slam if they where all playing the tournament.He is the same as players like Gaudio(lucky Fed lost to Kuerten in 04 french)Johansson(hungover Safin)Costa injured Ferrero Freanch 03)Teacher(again no Borg or Connors or McEnroe)that did not have to beat the best in a slam to win it.Very few one slam wonders have beaten the best, Krajicek(beat Sampras) Ivanisevic(Beat Rafter,Agassi,Safin and Henman the no 3 grass court player)Stich(beat Becker)Moya Corretja and Rios) Noah(Wilander)Chang(lendl,Edberg) and then rightfully gone on to win a Slam.Yes Tanner beat Vilas in final but he was a clay courter who never got past QF at wimby. And in the Wimby final Borg was playing poorly and Tanner his best but he still lost.

	I got 55. If I had more time I probbly would have only gotten one or two more, if that. I for some reason never follow this tournament. That makes my score pretty good for me.
