An iPod, iPhone, and Apple TV are computer like devices? Erm, what? At that point, why not just say "media players" or something to give people a sporting chance? Also, where's the 20th Anniversary Mac?

Cool quiz, good idea providing the processor. iPods and such are definitely computer like devices. They are just built for multimedia, all three have processors, hard drives, memory, graphics cards. You can also run common OSs (Windows/Linux/Mac) on them if you want.

Alex - I think this is more than a little debatable. I look at "computer like devices" and think OK, we're going to be dealing with stuff upon which you can install applications, open and edit files, some form of textual input is probably there. Something that duplicates a large chunk of the functionality of, well, my computer. Which my iPod isn't. The iPhone is perhaps a computer-like device. But I think "computer like device" is a poor definition - especially when the quiz is "computer product lines," which the iPod, iPhone, and Apple TV aren't. The fact that, looking at the results, 45% of people are not getting iPod, which is Apple's best-known brand, suggests that I am not alone in this confusion.

My iPod is probably more of a computer than the Apple I was. It's just the evolutionary steps of computing devices.

@Phil S.: The iPod, iPhone and Apple TV are, essentially, general-purpose computing devices, though the default user interface restricts them to playing media files and so on. I would say that they are definitely `computer-like'. That said, I have no strong opinion over whether these computer-like devices should be included in a quiz of Apple computers. Maybe they'd be better as bonus answers.

What about the G3 ibook? (iBook only lists g4, and SE, which was one of many g3 models) 20th anniversary mac? Why is the Mac Mini only listed as intel? Why is the iMac only listed as PowerPC? LC III?

same thoughts as shade of blue. Oh and when you type in "20th anniversary" or whatever it gives you the 1994 power pc section

What about the "i" don't know, the macaroni craft & the macadamia nut?
Jan 9th, 2009 at 12:27 GMT
i was surprised at the absence of the 20th aniversary mac as well, but the ipod did confuse me until i read the directions
Apr 14th, 2009 at 15:32 GMT
you know what's crap? it recognizes "ii" as "apple ii" but doesn't recognize "i" as "apple i". illogical

4/27. I got the top three most guessed... and then "lisa" XD. Only reason I knew that is cuz I've seen the movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley" two or three times in computer classes at school. :P

Only reason I got "Apple I" was because I was shooting for "Apple TV" and apparently typing "Apple" was enough. I hate when the happens. It just ruins it.
