	i could only get one until i said show hint and then i ignored the anagrams and tried to guess the players form their initials. How did safin get onto the list. It seems really odd

	Would be good to have a hint option where it gives you the sport, rather than the starting letters. As I'm British I don't know a single ice hockey player so would have been good to know I shouldn't have wasted my time giving those any thought as I was never going to get them. Still a good quiz though.

	Driving a racecar takes more physical ability than most people would think. Mark Martin, for example, stays incredibly fit in order to be competitive. If one poses the question about racecar drivers, then one could also pose it for a baseball player; after all, whats athletic about standing around? It sounds silly when put in that perspective. (by the way, I am not bashing baseball, just drawing a comparison)

	just for devil's advocate, i'd say that the running and swinging and throwing sorta sets baseball apart from racing. y'know. just technically

	I am not a fan of either sport, but I would say that racecar driving involves roughly the same level of athleticism as golf. I say if you call it a sport, you can call the players athletes.

	i suck at the anagram games, but i really like them. you guys can debate the merits of including golfers and racecar drivers, but at least there were no race horses (which were included as top athletes by an espn poll). race horse = athlete? pffft

	Oh please!! will people stop their opinions of what constitutes a "sport" and what constitutes an "athlete"!!! Does that make them less of a competitor based on what "sport" they're playing?? PLEASE....if you dont enjoy a "sport, event, competition" keep it to yourself. This is a pointless argument, its just useless opinions (just like mine)

	@jmac00420: It's another UK/US translation thing. Over here, and 'athlete' is purely someone who takes part in athletics – which is what we call the sport you guys call 'track and field'. So when a quiz says 'name the athletes' we'll automatically think it wants runners, jumpers and throwers. I'm with @Kinitawowi!

	Jim - Believe me, I don't mean to say that Europeans and such don't deserve a spot in a quiz about athletes, because they're some of the best, but to make a statement about Dwayne Wade being a complete unknown is just stupid. He's one of the most popular names in the NBA and millions upon millions of people would be able to tell you who he is. You sir, are a complete unknown. Not Dwayne Wade. (And this is coming from someone who hates basketball).

	I think that is fair criticism Jim, but there is no standard by which Dwyane Wade qualifies as an unknown. He was the leading score in last years gold medal basketball game, which was one of the most widely watched sporting events in history. He's a former NBA finals MVP, and has perennially been one of the NBA's top jersey sellers in the US, China and Europe.

	First off, baseball is not just standing around. It involves hand-eye coordination, running, throwing, catching, and sometimes jumping and diving, among others. Also Jim, Dwyane (behind LeBron and Kobe) is one of the best basketball players in the world. Don't give me that no-name nonsense about him. The only people who haven't heard of him are people who have never seen a basketball game in the past decade. Give me a break. Besides, this website says .COM, which I believe is an American ending to a web address. Why is it a bad thing if it is American friendly? I don't complain about the soccer or cricket quizzes, but if don't know the answers then I just don't take the quiz. That simple.

	@Kev-Dogg The difference being that when a quiz claims to be about all sports it is slightly disconcerting to spend 7 minutes trying to unscramble the names of leading lights in sports you have never watched and are of very little interest to many people within 2000 miles of you. If a quiz is about american football then it can easily be ignored, but one about "athletes" should be of general interest.

	This is basketball we're talking about here. You're making it sound far more popular globally than it actually is. To most of the world outside of America he is a complete unknown so I stand by what I said. The big names in football (soccer) are going to be more well known across the world than this Dwayne guy, as well as any other stars in American sports.
