I definitely prefer the quizzes that give some sort of clues, instead of the "list everything in this category" type quizzes.

I remember when Aerosmith was a musically significant band. Some musicians age gracefully, and some musicians just age.

I cheated. That's right, I opened up my Ipod and cheated. I also don't own 5 of these albums. I guess nobody likes Night in the Ruts, but I agree, I don't like the "List the entire studio catalogue of Artist X" quizzes.

I think no one likes Night In The Ruts cuz it was a low point creatively and cohesively for the band. I seem to remember hearing that on Behind the Music or reading it on Wikipedia.

Here's a situation where live and compilation albums should be included. Then a popular song that was on Big Ones! or Aerosmith's Greatest Hits or Devil's got A New Disguise: The Very Best Of Aerosmith could be included. Something like "Dream On" might appear 4 times, but "Come Together" and "Don't Want To Miss A Thing" would properly appear.

Man =/ I got 29 which I thought was decent. I consider myself a fan of sorts, but not so much that I memorize whole albums.

possible solution to what rockgolf said: category (like the albums) for original songs on compilations, ie, not on the studio albums (but not the outtakes from Pandora's Box. These guys probably have 2 albums worth of songs that weren't on their studio albums.

@kevmurph55: Actually, it's not on the list because it's not on one of their studio albums. It being a cover has nothing to do with it. (For comparison, see the Beatles song list, where their cover of "Roll Over Beethoven" is on the studio album "With the Beatles", and is thus listed in the quiz.)

I agree, we need a category for songs not on studio albums - "Deuces are Wild" is one of my favorites by Aerosmith

@WholeLottaSporcle: AC/DC maybe, but frankly, I can't imagine that many people know more than three or four BOC songs.

@MRL: Yeah. "Come Together" originally appeared on the soundtrack to the abysmal Peter Frampton/Bee Gees musical "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", then was included in the Armageddon soundtrack 20 years later. On opening night, I stayed in the theatre for the second showing of Sgt Pepper, so that when Peter Frampton sang "What would you think if I sang out of tune? Would you stand up and walk out on me?" I could stand up, yell "YES!!" and leave the theatre. The audience cheered.

Pump is my favorite album of all time. and What it Takes is my favvorite song. I know Come Together is on a "Greatest Hits" album and is a Beatles cover, but I like the cover better. It should be a bonus.

So sure - give me negative feedback when you don't do that for troglodytes or bean - when they just asked for the same thing but for different bands. Blue Oyster Cult and/or AC/DC versions of this are overdue!

Got them all in like 6 minutes. I totally think that they should have a bonus column for all the other songs they've recorded that are on compilations, soundtracks, B-sides, box sets, etc. They have at least 40+ songs that have been released, in addition to the album tracks. Some of them were even hits like Deuces are Wild, Blind Man, I Don't Want to Miss a Thing, and Come Together.
