Shoot, I got really excited because I saw the "H" and immediately thought "H" quiz. :D This was still fun though.

Doesn't one edge a lawn, not hedge? Seems like the lawn part is on the wrong side.

@horokeio: If you want to be vulgar, you should at least spell it right.

Well, I didn't hear any alarms or sirens, and no balloons fell on me, so I guess I didn't play the 100,000,000th quiz.

I usually stink at these types of quizzes but I totally rocked this one. The Casabalanca one threw me for a while though.

Surprised so few people got the Casablanca one. Then again, I was in Casablanca itself last week and saw the location in question.

Good timing for this quiz. There was a real stink in the New Zealand news this week at the NZ Geographical board voted to add an 'h' back into the name of the City of Wanganui (Whanganui). Interestingly, this makes a bigger difference than you would expect, as in the Maori language, 'Wh' is pronounced 'F' Now try and pronounce the skiing resort of Whakapapa...

I don't get the "bus" one...in America, do you "bus the table" after dinner? Where did that phrase come from?! @ red_andy: if everyone else was doing what I did, they were trying all different variations of the word "bar"! Interesting, I never knew that it was a real place (the bar that is, not Casablanca).

Chris: Yes, we "bus the table" after dinner. "Busing" comes from "busboy", short for "omnibus boy" - a restaurant worker who does omnibus (many) tasks, including clearing tables.

I'm not so sure about the clue for "shale". Clay/sediment form shale, whereas shale is the parent rock of slate, a metamorphic rock. None of these actually equate to shale.

@Chris: I don't know whether the place predates or post-dates the film, but it does exist. I didn't go in but it's apparently a decent bar/restaurant.

i like it, but i think it's much too easy. i got most of these buy just reading one side and thinking of suitable answers that are still intelligible words if they have an H thrown in somewhere.

Man I feel dumb. For "period of work" I kept thinking of art things like Picasso's blue period! I couldn't for the life of me come up with any word containing an h for that.

"Armored Car" is misleading, in my opinion. I think it should be "Armored Fighting Vehicle" or "Tracked Military Vehicle" or something along those lines.

I would have enjoyed this quiz much more had the players had to guess the actual word with the "h" added on. I guessed most of the words right away just by reading the right-hand column.
