	I was just going to comment on that. I tried "everything in its place" repeatedly and couldn't get it to accept it. I have never, EVER seen "right" used in the phrase. Still, a fun quiz!

	Demetri Martin: "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." Okay. How about "Nobody should throw stones." That's crappy behavior. My policy is: "No stone throwing regardless of housing situation." Don't do it. There is one exception though. If you're trapped in a glass house, and you have a stone, then throw it. What are you, an idiot? So maybe it's "Only people in glass houses should throw stones, provided they are trapped in the house with a stone." It's a little longer, but yeah.

	I remember the quiz show where someone was asked to complete the saying 'people who live in glass houses shouldn't.....' The contestant answered 'take baths!'

	Wow, those are really good. I got them all although I have always heard it as "All work and no play makes Johnny a dull boy", but just happened to remember hearing it as Jack one time. Favorite adages: Dont look a gift horse.... Early to bed, early to rise... and cant see the forest... Least favorite: Fools rush in...

	Same here, I've never heard the cake adage without the word "too" on the end. This is probably a UK/US difference, like davidr said.

	I'd heard the 'too' for the cake-eating (I'm from the UK). Incidentally, I'd been taught 'laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you dilute your beer'. P.S. I knew it as 'try try try again'.

	I'm relatively happy with my 21/30, but I feel a little cheated on the chicken one. I've always known it as "Don't count your chickens until they hatch" - thought that was close enough to be accepted. Also, allow me to stick in another vote for the "too" on the end of the cake one. And please tell me I'm not the only who tried "but I can't help falling in love with you" for fools rush in

	I always knew it as "can't see the woods for the trees" rather than forest... but doesn't really make a difference to the answer.

	It's not like there's an exact right phrasing for any of these. They're adages, not quotes. The whole point is that they're just something that everyone says, as opposed to coming from a specific source, so of course there are going to be variations. I guess "Early to bed and early to rise . . ." could be called an exception because Ben Franklin said it, but he probably heard it from someone else, and presumably he didn't copy their wording exactly. In other words, to everyone complaining about complaining: Calm down.
