| Some confusion here. I think this quiz is dealing with shows that Aaron Spelling is documented to have produced or executive produced at least 10 episodes, regardless of how long the actual series ran. This goes some way towards explaining the low Hart to Hart figure. But presumably every single episode of a series has an executive producer on board, yet IMDB is missing that data for a number of series. For example, the number of Hart to Hart episodes for which IMDB knows who produced what is less than half of the number of episodes in the run of the show. Similarly, the IMDB entry for the Dynasty spinoff "The Colbys" has no information at all about who produced what episodes, but clearly that is a Spelling show, too. This is a good idea for a quiz--it makes us understand on a palpable level just how large Aaron Spelling's influence on TV in the 1970s and 1980s was--but the big data holes in the source make for problems. |
