Surprisingly hard. Especially when I couldn't get Alabama out of my head!

Wow that was tough! I do live in the UK, though. Got all 14 with 33 seconds left on the clock.

Nice quiz. I guess the time limit was just right, because right before 0:00 I thought of my last one (New Jersey), which I couldn't type anymore.

The time limit was right, but I could not quiz my 14th answer out of my head. Connecticut

How many people started typing a state, only to come up against an A and have to back off?

its so frustrating when your spelling out a word in your head and there is one stupid a at the end. v-i-r-g-i-n-i-a - dammit! next state...

Fun quiz. Part of me wishes for another minute, but then I remember that if I hadn't wasted all that time typing M-i-n-n-e-s-o-t...then backspacing (among others), I would have had enough time. Also wasted too much time running both "North" and "South" states through my head, as if the people in SOUTH Carolina would have decided to take out the a's for some reason.

awesome quiz! Only missed one lol, guess I got lucky of not doing the "Typing the state and BAM! There's an 'a' at the end!" syndrome. 5/5

@ gsroest - I did the exact same thing! And then like 30 seconds later I was like 'Oh I know! WEST Virginia!' Fail.

Booger, I was going to give this a one, simply because I'm tired of any and all "name the states" quizzes (since if you can type them all fast enough, it doesn't really matter what the game is), but then I remembered your Brandeis clue from yesterday, so I bumped it up to a three. You earned the good will.

Good quiz, time limit is a little long. I think 1:00 would be better, since that's about how long it takes me to quickly skim through the states in my head.

@Kicking222: I have to say that I agree with the first part...though not the second part (since I have no idea what you're talking about ;) ). In any case, I am getting a little tired of all the geography quizzing on here (particularly those of the name-the-countries/states-that-relate-in-some-way type). Let's see a little more variation, sporcle. I love geography, but some variation couldn't hurt.

@Loona: Sporcle's main attraction for me, and I suspect many others, is its geography quizzes. Without more coming out every week, there'd be no more quizzes that really pique my interest that I haven't already played.

I got 12/14, and ironically the two I managed to miss have the highest and lowest state populations-New York and Wyoming.

In second grade we had to learn how to spell all the states. The trick for Connecticut was simply: Connect - I - Cut. Never forgot it.

@Anonymous42: But can you really say Geography is all that interests you? For me, I'm interested in many other topics other than Geography (ie. Science), so it gets tiring when there's so much focus on this one subject and so little focus on other areas of interest. But even then, a lot of the Geography quizzes are very similar in their format; even in the geography category itself there isn't much variation (alot of it is just listing countries that relate in some way (ie. a letter).
