| i think one of the reasons you see more 30-30 seasons is that people are WAY MORE focused on these type of stats so they are trying to do that on the field, sometimes not in the most oppotune time....32-29, 28-35, etc these type of seasons are just as good, i'm sure aaron and mays would've had more 30-30 seasons if it was a big deal in their time, mays had a 29-31 and 34-27 season, aaron had a 29-28, 32-24 season, if they wanted they could've gone for some more steals or took a few more homerun cuts...instead, they only stole when they were sure thats why they all have career SB% over 75%.... same thing with triple doubles in basketball, ppl are trying too hard sometimes like staying on the court when game has been decided so they can get that last rebound or assisst, ricky davis even shot at his OWN basket to miss on purpose so he could get his 10th board...
