| As a meteorologist, I feel the need to nitpick. The number you have for the redskins, I suspect, is the average temperature at Washington Dulles. However, Fed Ex field is closer to Reagan National, which is a bit warmer. That's the number you should be using...which puts it warmer than Philly and New York, which makes more geographical sense. You may have a couple of others where the teams actually play closer to a different airport than your using. Giants/Jets for instance are closer to Newark than LaGuardia/JFK, which is probably the number given by the source for NYC. If you want a more official source, I suggest the following, which is a table from the National Climatic Data Center (http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/online/ccd/nrmavg.txt). |
