Please read the full title of the game: "Can you name the subjects of Time Magazine covers that have featured a face superimposed with a large red letter 'X'?" The August 20, 1945 cover features neither a face nor a red "X".

That's simply a matter of making minor adjustments in wording. You have the critical part already, refering to "subject" rather than person. "Can you name the subjects of Time Magazine covers that have featured the crossed-out portrait of an American enemy?
