Nice quiz...14/16. If you are hurting for more to add, can't go wrong with Marketplace :)

And all this time I thought it was "Ira Plato." I think I just lost some geeky-liberal street cred.

The host of "On Point" is Tom Ashbrook, not Todd. Otherwise, great quiz.

Such difficult-to-spell names. Reminds me of this hilarious blog post: "What's Your NPR Name?"
"Here’s how it works: You take your middle initial and insert it somewhere into your first name. Then you add on the smallest foreign town you’ve ever visited."

Oy what's Sporcle coming to with quizzes like Boston Cream Pie and now this.

What about Michelle Martin from Tell Me More? She's grating to me but they discuss interesting topics.

I am outraged that Ira Glass is not number one, and beat out by A Prairie Home Companion and Car Talk! Ugh!

Don't want to seem like a radio nerd, but Whad'ya Know, This American Life, and The World are from PRI (Public Radio International) which is not NPR. Prairie Home Companion and Marketplace are from APM (American Public Media).

I missed four and still I rank in the 97th percentile! I love public radio. Don't worry, @ZapRowsdower. Be proud to be a radio nerd! :)

High-5 to former NPR host Ferai Chedya now a bestselling author. Excellent people there.

@ Zap: I tried to avoid that problem by going with the "broadcast on NPR" phrasing. I suppose I should have said "broadcast on U.S. public radio stations" and titled it "Public Radio Hosts."

I agree, "U.S. Public Radio Show Hosts" or something along those lines would be better. How about putting Here and Now on there too? I suppose the Diane Rehm show would be too easy a give away...

Glad to see "Click and Clack" is acceptable for Car Talk. :)

Oh, I tried Click and Clack separately. It seemed to work for the other shows. And if you think NPR's hosts have weird names, what about their reporters? It almost seems like a job requirement. (PS: Talk of the Nation is great)

@MalkMoustache: Don't be such a snob. Those are great shows.

I can't believe it doesn't take "click and clack" for car talk. I had no idea what their actual names are.
| fm_: | Jun 2nd, 2011 at 08:19 GMT | | 1 point |
@thewildboo: It used to. Guess the Sporcle editors felt that was too easy. :) Oddly, it still takes "the Tappet brothers."
