	This quiz would have been a lot more interesting the other way around - trying to guess which of an artists hits were the first number 1. As written, it is just "name the artist."

	Hah, that is quite the deceiving clue. Especially since Radiohead released "Creep" right around 1994. It was in fact in 1992, so there's no problem with the quiz. Same thing with STP, who released their "Creep" in 1993. I think it's just the creator purposely messing with us.

	The year is necessary in at least one case: "Jump" was the first (and only) #1 hit for both Van Halen (1984) and Kris Kross (1992).

	@jrose: As much as I love the Radiohead song and don't care at all about TLC, Radiohead is NOT a fair alternative. The song wasn't a number one hit or even close to it, and the quiz is by definition about #1 hits.

	Just to point out: "I Want to Hold Your Hand" was released in the US the day after Christmas 1963, but entered the Billboard Hot 100 the week ending Jan 18, 1964, and reached #1 the week ending Feb 1, 1964. (To the best of my recall, all the other years are correct.)

	Gotta say, big difference for those of us not in the US. To think that U2's first "hit" was "With or Without You" or that Dire Straits first hit was "Money for Nothing"... no Under a Blood Red Sky, no War, no Sultans of Swing... Hell, even Eminem's best work occurred before Billboard worked out how good he was...
