I think this is an example of a really good quiz that got overlooked. Thanks for making this quiz. I really enjoyed it and will nominate it. :D

If Hurt Locker doesn't sweep its nominees, I officially give up on the Golden Globes.

Well, that was interesting. After not remembering who the actor was in Inglorious Basterds (Waltz), I decided to go ahead and try Waltz With Bashir for best animated film, even though I knew that it came out last (Oscar) year. Much to my surprise, and needless to say, I got Waltz right.

Does anyone else think this is a huge anti-climax after last year? Last year there were a lot of good films. This time around i haven't heard of a few of them.

Maybe specify that we're only after Motion Pictures here. I kept guessing TV-series for a little while.

Turner, That's probably a sign that the films are even better. Last year was pretty bad in my opinion, especially compared to 2007. 2009 has been great, but of course the three best films (The White Ribbon, Tetro, Bright Star) won't get any recognition from award shows. I guess I'm rooting for Up in the Air and Inglourious Basterds.

Is there any more entertaining aspect of Sporcle than seeing a movie quiz where the only posts (as of my typing this) which are scored in the negatives are from somebody named MovieDynamic?

That's because the thickheaded dodos on this site don't understand opinion and feel nothing but contempt when somebody is able to get all the answers right on a quiz! Jealousy it is, really.

No offense but you're rooting for Avatar. You clearly don't know much about film. Hehehe. (I hope that is taken as tongue-in-cheek as I meant it... seriously though didn't you feel that Cameron could have at least spent a little bit more time on the script?)

FilmJunkie, please. Avatar is an excellent film, and so is something like Cries and Whispers. I can appreciate all kinds of film, and the trashing of Avatar is frankly annoying. Let's not get snobby here.

Of course I can enjoy a film LIKE Avatar... just not Avatar. I don't like it when movies like that (which is not snobbish as you yourself said it is in this category) try to be more than what they are. The film tried to make itself so important, and I think it failed. If it just accepted itself as an awesome action movie, then fine. But then don't beat me over the head with messages and allegories, because if you do you better make sure they are presented with quality, not just fun. You know what I mean?

MovieDynamic on January 17: "The thickheaded dodos on this site...". January 21: "Let's not get snobby here." I think you have a right to be snobby. How dare people endorse such commercial garbage and ignorantly ignore such small and personal independent films as Avatar.
