great quiz, as a US American living and working in Spain I enjoyed this a lot, I´d enjoy it if you expanded it. there were a few cities I didn´t know... Also when I tried typing Cote d´ivoire it didn´t accept, i don´t know why, I know it should have the hat on the o, but I dont´know how to type that (my computer is from the US but on Spain Spanish mode if you can help) Also, I think SADR (Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic) should be accepted for Western Sahara, GREAT JOB

Interesting quiz, but I think a few of the cities are a bit too hard. Asking non-capital cities in Africa and Asia is asking a lot. It'd also be great if you could add more "Others". Maybe Falkland Islands, Northern Ireland, Tibet, Kurdistan, Palestine and Tasmania . . .

@FishyInSpain: Looks like it was my mistake, I forgot to put in Cote d'Ivoire without the hat as an acceptable answer. I also added SADR as one.
@TreehuggnCowgirl: I tried to only ask major cities; Guangzhou has seven million people in it, and Cape Town is South Africa's biggest tourist destination. I suppose Abidjan might be tough, but what quiz doesn't have tough answers? --- I've added five more to the "Other" category; it's hard to find good ones, because for most places the Spanish name is just the English name with a couple letters changed. For example, Palestine translates as "Palestina," and Tibet is "el Tibet." I think these are interesting, though.

Great quiz! Even with Spanish being my native language, some of these were still hard. Thanks for including Algiers, it's the bane of my existence: Argel, Argelia = Algiers, Algeria is something that's been seared into my brain from so many times getting it wrong! @TreehuggnCowgirl: Well, that's the idea, I think, to make it more challenging. Or do you want all quizzes to be easy? ;)

how about accepting "falklands" for "falkland islands"?

maybe accept palestine for west bank - that's all i could think of

Bielorrusia is misspelled (two r's, one s). Beijing has practically replaced Pekín on the press (and Myanmar is replacing Birmania, that was the name of Burma). I think the same happened in most languages: my Webster's dictionary of 1994 still gives the definition under Peking, and for Beijing only says "Pinyin spelling of Peking".

I’ll change that now.
Palestine is not acceptable because
specifically refers to the West Bank, whereas
would denote historical Palestine, or the modern-day territory consisting of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Thanks for the heads-up about Belarus; I’ll change that upon finishing this comment. I think I’ll keep the others, since as long as they’re still valid I think they are interesting to have; thanks on that count as well, though.

I typed "Falklands" and "Falkland Islands," and neither were accepted.
