	I typed both 'Eyjafjallajokull' & 'Eyjafjallajoekull' Surely they are the only possible transliterations to replace the umlaumt? Please accept

	@ AdamBishop: It's actually relatively easy in essence because it's completely phonetic and has a decent character set to cover sounds. It's just really difficult from English to preaspirate 'll' and their vowel blend speed is insane!

	@AdamBishop: Haha, I can imagine that the pronunciation probably seems difficult for foreigners. 	@crover - Did the first one not work? It works for me. The 'oe' thing is a way of translating German umlauts, but I don't think Icelandic does it. Still it'd be a good bonus answer.

	True, Shay, that's an often forgotten point. In German, üäö are umlauts, but not in the Scandinavian languages. In those languages, they (åäæöø) are considered individual letters placed at the end of the alphabet. Icelandic do the same, just even more. Thus 'joekull' can never be correct usage, yet for convenience the "corresponding" (exception: æ -> ae) letters are often used in translitterations.
