I think that more answers need to be accepted for this to be a useful resource. right now, its looking for a specific wording, which noone except you really knows

I agree with the Matt. I tried "bad rulers," "bad emperors," "bad leadership," "poor leadership," "poor leaders," "bad leaders," etc. It's kinda hard to guess "string of bad emperors." Plus, what about the rise of Christianity, and the problem of succession of emperors?

I think it is quite inconceivable to list a few subjectively derived factors and point to them as the cause and the sole cause of the Fall of the Roman Empire, or for that matter, any subject or event as complex as that.

Wording too specific, and this topic is still being debated. In fact, Eward Gibbon, who was a important researcher of the Roman Empire, attributes the fall to Christianity.
