How is the time limit?
Oct 20th, 2010 at 16:27 GMT
Time limit was okay for me, but I'm slow. Have to type in Toronto to get Blue Jays.

Ducks are also birds

raiders are not necessarily seafarers - would be known as pirates

Aren't the clippers named after a type of ship (the clipper ship)? I think it should be added to the "seafarers" category.

Isn't the logo of the Nashville Predators a saber-toothed tiger?
Oct 20th, 2010 at 18:28 GMT
Might get some people telling you that the Rays new nickname references the sun's rays, rather than the water animal. I'm fine with it either way personally.

Accepts Jays but doesnt accept Blue Jays.

@DCee: Ok, you're right. I'll change it. @midlifecrisis: the raiders are supposed to be like pirates (just look at their logo), and I think it's safe to assume that pirates are seafarers. @America: seafarers refers to people who travel the seas, not ships. Therefore, clippers should not be included.

@Kevin: The blackhawks are named after a military division which is named after a Native American chief. (Look at their logo). If there is a bird known as a black hawk, I do not believe that the hockey team is named after it. @biskit: Yes, I think you are correct. I must have missed that. I'll change it. Thanks! @vendorsfan: Yeah, you're right that the rays are now named after a ray of light, but you could also argue that it is just a shortened version of devil rays. Maybe I'll make it a bonus answer. @sinatra: Thanks for the comment. Fixed it!

How about Whalers as a bonus answer for the seafarers category? Fun quiz!
Oct 20th, 2010 at 23:29 GMT
@Lindsay: I'm not entirely sure who you're referring to as the Whalers, but I figure it's a team that no longer exists, is now called something else, or belongs to a league that is not one of the Big 4. Either way, if I add a team like that as a bonus answer, there will be a long list of other teams to add as bonus answers, so I think I'm gonna draw the line here. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

The Tampa Bay Rays still have a "Ray" (the animal) on the sleeve of the uniform as well as a Ray tank in centerfield, so it shouldn't be just a bonus. And you really haven't heard of the Hartford Whalers? You just lost credibility points with me lol.

@bmo: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20071107&content_id=2295315&vkey=pr_tb&fext=.jsp&c_id=tb. It is true that they still have some connections with their former title, but they are named primarily after a ray of light. Therefore, they should be a bonus answer. And sorry about not knowing about the Whalers, but I do not follow hockey very much.
