I guess the journalists involved had decent taste in music.

I dig most of these acts, but that is a weird list.

I have no clue what Swedes listen to, but to have the Fugees and Mott the Hoople, but no Elton John, The Who or Fleetwood Mac confuses me. And while ABBA does not have the highest credibility, they were damn good at what they do.

Fugees, hoople, gang starr, undertones. Some odd choices here

abba not here surprised me so i guessed they were more in rock but queen was not there either plus the fact that they put dylan in front of the beatles that kind of told me they knew nothing about music.I must not know much either, some bands in there i have never heard of and i am kind of a music man.

johnnyd, you can't really be a "music man" if you haven't heard most of these bands. And how can you downgrade Dylan so?

Probably the most bizarre combination of inclusions and exclusions that I've ever seen on such a list. Lee "Scratch" Perry and Patti Smith both in the top 25? No sign of ABBA or Sinatra. I might not agree with the list but I think I'd like to steal the guy's iPod.

They obviously excluded jazz artists, which explains why the list is so crappy.
