Third time using sproutcm's original Foursome from Sets idea. The link to his quiz can be found on top. If you want more like this, I have one for movies and one for TV shows.

Love the idea, and I think using 3/1, 2/2 & 1/3 artist/title combinations was inspired. My only disappointment was the inclusion of "The" bands.

These are a lot of fun. Using a somewhat obscure song with the name "He War" is just evil, though.

I enjoyed this. I initially thought 12 minutes was too much after I tore through the first half, but I only wound up with 80/120. Very good, fun, quiz.

You should change KISS DETROIT ROCK CITY to lower case, or at least DETROIT ROCK CITY to lower case. It's a bit of a giveaway as it is now (although it would still probably be one of the top guessed)

I tried "Michael Jackson - Crazy Man", but then thought it would work just as well for Ozzy.

Hi! I love this quiz and other quizzes like it and I'm trying to make one of my own in the same vein but I'm having trouble formatting it. How did you get the the quiz into the number of columns you wanted? With the column headers and such? If you could give me a little guidance that would be great. :)

On the style page you can group your quiz by columns of up to 5. So if you want something to look like this, Put Column 1 in the hint column for everything that you need in that column and the same for columns 2, 3, and 4.

I saw Forever Young in the last two columns and couldn't think of anything but the Alphaville song, even though I actually heard the Rod Stewart song first. I kept thinking of every group that's ever done a cover of it, trying desperately to find one that fit in. I finally got it with about 10 seconds left.

Nice to see Cat Power pop up on a quiz, well done. Had I remembered to spell Gorillaz with a 'z' instead of an 's' I'd have fared better.

Good quiz, but why just Ozzy Osbourne? His band was called Black Sabbath. Luckily it's also two words so it's an easy fix. But other than that, fantastic.

@bmo 1616 Crazy Train was released by Ozzy on his first solo album, after he left Black Sabbath.

It irritates me when you have erratic rules. So we have THE Monkees. and THE Beach Boys. Yet we also have some group called Eagles. They are THE Eagles. Not Eagles. There is one set of rules for one group, and another for another group, all so the writer of the quiz can fit certain songs in there.

@burywmore as far as I can tell, the band has always referred to themselves and been marketed as just "Eagles", not "The Eagles". No double standard and no need to be irritated.

For the most part your correct, but if you look at their greatest hits, it's called "The Very Best of THE Eagles". Either way, it's clear what was going on, for the sake of this quiz it didn't really cause much confusion.

@cmills82 - I suppose "The very best of Eagles" just sounds awkward in a way that, say, "The very best of Queen" wouldn't.

Looking at the official Eagles website, They are referenced as just "Eagles" almost everywhere on the site. There are a few places where "The Eagles" starts a sentence. And there is a "the Eagles" in the middle of a sentence. I think if that was the official name, "the" would be capitalized in the middle of the sentence.

The naming of many greatest hits collections is done without input from the band. Most bands don't like the idea of greatest hits albums, but they're often put out as a way to fulfill contract obligations. Not only that, but the band has had more than a few greatest hits albums, and nearly all of them just use "Eagles".

Kept wondering if there was some way to fit Huey Lewis and the News into one box so "Power of Love" could be the song. Whoops.
