Nice addition to the "fast math" quizzes! Given that the percentile curve is heavily skewed toward the high end, with over a third of people getting them all right, you might consider dropping the time to a minute.

I'm surprised to see so few 100%s on this one. I expected a ton of comments about how easy it was or how it needed to be only a minute. Instead I guess I'm that one. Hooray math major. Here come the negative votes! :)

The lack of 100% at the moment is that this quiz used to be only 30 problems, but there were too many 100% so I upped it to 34.

Love how so many people skipped 38/57. That or it's one of the newly added ones.

It's not hard, it's just not my native language, so to speak. I'm a word person.

Why are there prime numbers in a reduce the fraction quiz?

@jdmerkel: Some of them are trick questions, causing you to try to reduce them while the correct answer is to type the original fraction.

I have to say I am a big sporcle fan and have not criticised any quizzes but on this one the idea that you have to simplify the fraction is misleading! 10/19 is not 10/19 simplified! Maybe I'm just a sore loser though......

49 seconds remaining. it took me 71/120 seconds to complete this quiz. Simplify that. You can't, because 71 is prime. Top that. You can't, because I'm the best at math puzzles.

This quiz is too simple if you just go over the fractions before starting, mentally reducing them and then simply recalling from memory. The 2:00 limit is no bar since their is no restriction on inspecting the fractions before beginning. To be a truly challenging quiz, the next fraction should only appear once the previous one is completed.

@jdmerkel and Sporcla: There are prime numbers and fractions in their lowest terms simply to make things 'challenging' for people who don't use their brains.

Avman, you're an idiot, just start the quiz without looking ahead, and for 42/56 I kept trying 6/8 until I just decided to hit skip, at the end of the quiz when 3/4 showed up i was truly embarrassed

I agree with the others saying more time is needed. I love that there are trick questions to reduce like 10/19!

Fun quiz, finished with a reasonable amount of time, who looks at the questions before? Challenge by choice. I love how people complain about the 2 trick questions which were easy to spot. If there were more time, everyone would be able to do it and there wouldn't be any challenge, suck it up.

I think the time is challenging but fair - finished with 3 seconds to spare - and I'm fine with the "trick" ones. Keeps your brain awake - and isn't that the point of Sporcle?

For those having problems, it's easier to finish if you skip typing the slashes.

I'm taking this quiz as a challenge so I can attempt to pass Panther to take the #1 most challenge wins in science, so when I see that the person I'm against got 14/34, I thought, OK, this person got 7/17! Talk about starting something prematurely...
