	Yeah, like the other two commenters said -- it's kind of a neat idea, but it's just impossible, in some cases, to come up with the exact wording -- I tried like twelve different ways to say "Soviet Union ends" and "start of World War II", but I couldn't get it exactly. I just don't know if the Sporcle format works really well with a quiz like this.

	this is almost impossible - it's a "guess the phrasing the author used" quiz. Very poor.

	Like others said - good idea, bad execution. It's really hard to come up with the proper phrasing. For example (in addition to others): "Challenger explodes" should be sufficient for "Shuttle Challenger explodes" or "JKF assassinated" for "JFK assassinated in Dallas".

	I agree with CharlieBrown, RebeccaAMax, plujan, Doctor_Tom, and McManda. I disagree with johnlk; it's not a very poor quiz -- just one that could be improved along the lines people have already commented on.

	Really cool idea but ditto the above comments. Also, I think there are some more newsworthy topics then some of the ones you have up there ( columbine, Ford shot, Reagan shot, Hindenburg, FDR dies in office, Bay of Pigs, and there is no mention of the Korean War, Vietnam War of Persian Gulf war). I wouldn't give up on the idea just work on it a little.

	Laura - it's based on a list from the Newseum; it's not as if the originator of the quiz came up with these herself and can make changes. I think the best solution (which I've seen used for similar quizzes about historical events) is to choose one or more keywords for each event, and list them as the answers. All you'd have to do is write "Shepard" or "American space" and you'd get that one correct. It's not perfect, but it's better than expecting people to come up with the exact wording, the way it is with the MLK Jr. assassinated answer.
