| Admirable effort, but quite a few things to fix. First, don't title the quiz "all of the NCAA D-1" when you left out 5 whole basketball conferences (Big South, Southern, Ohio Valley, Southland, Summit) which contain quite a few unique nicknames. Second, some of the schools are in the wrong conferences/wrongly included: SIU Edwardsville is in the Ohio Valley (not an Independent); South Dakota is in the Summit League (also not an Independent); North Carolina Central and Savannah State are both in the MEAC (which is never abbreviated MIEAC), and should not be duplicated as Independents; New Orleans began playing at the D-II level this year, and should not be included on this list; Northern Kentucky is not beginning their D-I transition until next season, and should not be included on this list if Nebraska-Omaha (began transition this season) is omitted. Third, some of the official nicknames are not accepted by the quiz: the Montana Grizzlies ("Grizzles") and Sacramento State Hornets ("Horenets") are misspelled, Nevada and New Mexico State have their nicknames switched, and the official nickname of Montana State, the Bobcats, is not accepted (only the unofficial Fighting Bobcats is accepted). Fourth, some of the answers accept parts of the nicknames that are rarely/never used as substitutes for the full nicknames ("Wave" for Tulane Green Wave, "Ragin" for LA-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns). Fifth, there were a few more misspellings I noticed: "Wake Foret" instead of Wake Forest, UCONN and UMASS instead of the properly-capitalized UConn and UMass, and Miami (OH) "Redhawks" instead of "RedHawks". Last, the time is barely enough to complete the quiz for someone who can type these nicknames from memory; it will not be nearly enough for anyone who has to stop and think about a few answers (should be at least 15, maybe 20 minutes long). |
