	Do you remember those people in Iraq dancing for joy when the twin towers were hit and those thousands of people died? Sick they could rejoice over death, same here. Keep the joy inside and be the bigger man. Good riddance to trash, but to jump for joy seems crass to me.

	Dumbass? Because I called him Trash or because rejoicing over death is crass? I guess it was ok for those Iraqis to dance for joy when the towers came down? If THIS is ok to to rejoice about, so was that. Tbe dumbass to me is the short sighted one who sees things from only their own viewpoint.

	And what exactly is the problem with them 'dancing for joy'? Not everyone likes the USA, and we believe in Freedom of Speech here. Just as they were allowed to jump for joy when our towers fell along with thousands of our loved ones, I will jump for joy knowing that the mastermind of the organization that has caused untold thousands of deaths is now in hell where he belongs.

	I'm going to risk the built-up plus comments I have on this thread here, but tomahaha is right. I hoped this would come through in the Mark Twain quote, but here's my interpretation: If you're happy bin Laden is dead that's fine (I'll admit to being somewhat happy), but keep your pleasure to yourself. He publicly took joy in killing Americans; we shouldn't stoop to his level when he dies.

	In all (about 4) Bin Laden quizzes I've seen no one has yet pointed out the hypocrisy regarding the fact that it is the US Government who supplied, funded and trained Bin Laden and the Mujahideen (who were the beginnings of Al Qaeda) in the first place when he was fighting the Soviets in the 80s.

	USA funded and trained Osama Bin Laden... just like they funded Saddam Hussein in the 80s... overthrew the democratically elected president of Chile on September 11th 1973... supported the Fascist dictatorships of the Argentine Junta in the early 80s, supported terrorism in Nicaragua... how did a website like Sporcle which aims to educate people and eradicate ignorance end up being populated by such small minded morons

	You can't blame America for funding them, because they weren't funding Al-Qaeda, they were funding Mujahideen. It's not their fault one became the other. And while I agree with Tomahaha and whoever else was against celebration, I'm letting it slide on this one.

	I in some way understand why the USA supported Osama bin Laden in the 80s. It was an alliance of convinience against an allegedly bigger and more dangerous enemy, just like the alliance with Stalin in WWII. But then the Americans shouldn't be surprised if the people they made strong are turning on them now. Nonetheless it is a tragedy that so many innocent people diedbecause of bin Laden and his supporters.

	Yes you can balem America, it was/is part of a wider American policy of supporting any regime/entity regardless of its values so long as it is line with America's national interest at that given moment.
