Great quiz! Just an odd fact: Both Nugent and Joplin made it on to the Billboard Top 40 singles charts in 1968 with, respectively, THE AMBOY DUKES (Journey To The Center Of The Mind, #16) and BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING COMPANY (Piece of My Heart, #12)

@shakirafan: Nugent also made the top 40 with the Damn Yankees. Twice. But neither they nor the Amboy Dukes are part of the Nuge's solo discography.

I guess I should clarify I wasn't offering a "correction", just an interesting tidbit of trivia. You are absolutely correct in terms of your quiz. :>)

Wow. I can't believe the biggest-selling male solo artist in history in the US is the least gotten on this quiz.

Turns out I actually forgot an artist. I'll update it within the next few minutes.

Nice Quiz. How about Ella Fitzgerald? She had one top 40 hit, "Mack the Knife" and according to biography.com she has sold over 40 million.

@Idgitator: Ms. Fitzgerald had many, MANY singles hit the top 40 on the pre-Hot 100 charts (including four #1s), so she's not on this quiz.

I suspect Brooks isn't being gotten much because his "hit" is such an obscure song. If it had been Friends in Low Places, Shameless, The Thunder Rolls, If Tomorrow Never Comes, or any of a dozen others it would probably be guessed more often.

@Dragon: Also, it was confusingly credited to "Garth Brooks as Chris Gaines". Great quiz with an unusual twist.

Really? Country and rock are wildly underrepresented on commercial pop stations in comparison to their overall popularity? Who would have guessed.

I kept trying LeAnn Rimes for "How Do I Live". She orginally recorded it.

Surprised not by the artists, but which song is their biggest hit. I can think of at least four diffferent KoRn quicker than I can think of that one...

@EpicWinFTW: Yeah, but LeAnn Rimes isn't a one-hit wonder by the "crack the billboard top 40" definition.
