	What's your [non- Wiki] source? The Axis Powers weren't a country or government but a political alliance. It would be like saying the UK, USSR, USA, France, etc. were all one nation during WWII. Also, the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and the SFR Yugoslavia are not the same country. What about Free Trieste which was a independent [although UN administrated] city state from 47 to the mid 50s?

	You should accept "Austro-Hungarian Empire" as an answer as this is a commonly used name for the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. If you spell peninsula correctly in your heading you'll seem more credible (along with including a source). I also don't know where you got your dates for Serbia because from 1918 to 2006 it was not an independent state. It was part of both incarnations of Yugoslavia & Serbia and Montenegro. Also, should Moldova perhaps be included? I know it is sometimes considered part of the Balkans/Balkan peninsula and sometimes not. If you included a source it would make it's inclusion or exclusion more understandable. Good idea for a quiz, you just need to clean it up a bit.

	First, Montenegro declared independence from serbia and montenegro on July 3, 2006 (CIA factbook). Second, if it makes you happy i removed axis powers. i had them in because they were a political force in the region and essentially Germany controlled all of the land under the so called treaty. i changed the dates for serbia. the separation of dates for the yugoslavias indicates that there is a difference, the first is the kingdom. I felt that UN administered countries were not valid which is why kosovo was formed in 2008. it was under various types of UN control from 1999 to 2008 but did not declare itself independent until 2008

	yes but during the rennaisance. i used only the 20th and 21st century. the ottoman empire, greece, the austrian-hungarian empire and italy happen to extend past those time restrictions. thats why the roman and byzantine empires, along with other historical states, are not in this quiz

	Romania is predominantly Eastern Orthodox with less than 5% Roman Catholic. The Venetian Republic held substantial lands in the Balkans until its dissolution in 1797. Montenegro was an independent country from 1878-1922.
