You've got to hand it to her - she's already been remembered long after the winner of that night's contest has faded into obscurity. Apparently the best way to make it big as a beauty queen is to ramble on about subjects you clearly aren't qualified to explain (insert Sarah Palin joke here at your own peril).

Last year she made it to the final of The Amazing Race.
The best part about this speech is that you could check the "Randomize order of answers" box on the Game Info page and the speech would still make as much sense.

Question: Recent polls have shown a fifth of American teen beauty queens can't locate a coherent sentence if their life depended on it. Why do you think this is?
Answer: I personally believe that we as beauty queens are unable to do so, because, uh, some people out here in our nation, uh, don't have dictionaries, and...

This quiz is hilarious. Additionally, it makes me damned proud to be a Canadian. Thank you so much for making this quiz; it really brightened up my evening. Including every 'uh' was an act of pure genius.

Before attempting to answer, she should have clarified the question a bit and asked, "What's a map?"

I almost think this is funnier reading it than watching it. I can't believe just how uncoordinated this answer is. Maybe they should have asked her why Americans can't use the English language properly.

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Usually in these quizzes, you can use context clues to figure out the next word. Kind of amazing how she completely obliterated that strategy by making no coherent sentences. Awesome quiz!

And this girl made it through to the next round?! The quality of intellect sought in these role models has clearly been reduced to the level of bit part player in favour of empty headed Stepford Wife-esque 'charm'. I despair, I really do...

@wredaguy - I'll take that bet. She was subsequently a contestant in the Amazing Race, so if she couldn't locate it on a map at the time, I would hope she ought to be able to by now!

Am I the only one who doesn't understand what she did that was so wrong? She was probably just nervous, and it is a tough question to answer, I honestly don't know how I would have answered that if I was in her position. The only problem with it is that she didn't quite answer the question correctly, she didn't say at all that SHE doesn't know where the US is on a world map...
