	China should be an acceptable answer for Hong Kong. Sporcle does not recognize Hong Kong as a country. And if you go against Sporcle's recognizations, good luck getting your quiz to be published.

	@ inyouraeroplane: How is it racist to give Eurasia higher I.Q. scores than other parts of the world? I.Q. isn't a definitive judgment of intelligence or capability, it's a vague and subjective score. Also, Hong Kong isn't a country.

	According to the US IQ Classification any IQ below 70 is considered mild mental retardation. This means the average citizen of 30 countries according to this list suffer from mild mental retardation. If that is not flat out racist, then it is extremely flawed methodology.

	IQ is not an exact or accurate measure of a persons intelligence. And the reason for lower IQ scores in African countries is probably because the smarter and richer people in the country (eg. doctors) leave the country to find a better standard of living.

	The source on this is a joke. The last place country, Equatorial Guinea, had an average of 59, meaning the average person in that country is fairly severely retarded. Okay.

	Psychometric testing is bogus. Richard Feynman, one of the most brilliant physicists of the 20th century, had a measured IQ of 125, which is good but not great. People should be judged on tangible accomplishments and talents and not on nebulous concepts like IQ. What was that Stephen Hawking quote? "People who brag about their IQ are losers".

	Many people accusing this study of racism miss a key point. Proper nutrition is the biggest key to brain development, which leads to intelligence. It only makes sense that countries with food shortages (mostly Africa) would have lower IQs. If a country cannot provide nitrution for its children, those children will miss out on brain development and ... yes ... will have a higher rate of mental retardation. It's not racism. It's just a sad reality many of us from rich nations cannot comprehend.

	@dudis A significantly large number of their over a billion population would have to leave the African continent for that to be true. Also, there are a lot of skilled Chinese people who migrate, so shouldn't China's IQ drop according to your hypothesis.

	Many IQ tests are written from a biased, upper-class white perspective. Nevertheless, once you keep that in mind, it's a fairly interesting quiz.

	Most of these forms of IQ testing are directly related to literacy and numeracy levels. It is no surprise that those countries with high literacy and numeracy levels score better than those with lower literacy and numeracy levels. When data is posted about literacy levels, no-one cries 'racism', yet when it's presented as an IQ score, it invokes a completely different response. People should learn to interpret these figures as what it is, simple data - and not interpolate negative emotional responses from it.

	Similarly, it is not 'racist' to say that the world's best 100m sprinters are from Black Afro-carribbean descent, the best marathon runners are from Africa, and the best badminton players are from East Asia. These are facts backed up by hard data, and rather than invoking negativity and racism, one should learn to embrace these small differences and appreciate that this is what makes mankind so wonderfully diverse and successful as a species.
