	@Djibouti: I'm guessing your first exposure to the film was from stereotypical High School jocks quoting it and talking about how 'it's the most f---ing awesome movie ever'. It's a shame how that can ruin movies (I can't stand Rocky or Scarface for the same reason). It seems like there are the 'let's start our own fight club ' crowd on one side and the 'man, if we destroyed all the corporations it would solve everything' group on the other who make up 90% of the fans of this movie. Forget them and give it a re-watch if you get the chance. By no means it is the 'most f---ing awesome movie ever' but you might find a new appreciation for it.

	@Djibouti, it isn't trying to be "deep" it's trying to be a cutting edge and unique story about insomnia and the male psyche, and above all entertainment. The directing is phenomenal, the story is excellent, the suspense is gripping and it's just incredible. Opinions are just opinions but I seriously disagree with yours, plus it seems like you haven't really watched it.

	Yeah, it's about much more than beating the crap out of people, and anyone who takes the message 'let's destroy the corporations' away from it is kind of missing the point, given that the film to a considerable degree undermines that rhetoric; as matt01 said, it's about insomnia, trying to feel important or powerful in some way, the general messed-up psychology of the modern urban worker. But it's a very polarising film, and much as it's one of my favourites I get why it isn't for everyone.
