| Yeah, it's about much more than beating the crap out of people, and anyone who takes the message 'let's destroy the corporations' away from it is kind of missing the point, given that the film to a considerable degree undermines that rhetoric; as matt01 said, it's about insomnia, trying to feel important or powerful in some way, the general messed-up psychology of the modern urban worker. But it's a very polarising film, and much as it's one of my favourites I get why it isn't for everyone. |
