Before anyone points it out, I'm aware that the symbols I used for 'grass' kind of look like, um, something else.

Interesting structure but it doesn't gain much over a "forced order" quiz. I can't go on to the next category unless I unscramble the last entry in the current category. On the other hand, if that's the only one I can unscramble it brings up another category.
Doc, you've been creating a lot of very clever well done quizzes, but in this case, you've... laid an egg.
But don't let that discourage you. Keep swinging for the fences. You've clearly got the right stuff for a lot of home runs. I'll be following you.

If you layed an egg, I would say it was gold-tinted. I enjoyed this quiz (sure, it has some technical issues you tried to overcome, but it was still fun!) I was "titillated" by the grass as much as by the creative aspect. Ditto to what rockgolf said... keep up the good work!

Thanks guys, it's nice to get encouragement from a pair of aces. I must have spent more time on this quiz in particular than I had on any other before it (probably longer than I did on my college thesis, for that matter), and in the end it wasn't where I really wanted it, but I just cut my losses and figured it was good enough. I might revisit and play around with it more one day, but I'm cool with it for now.

I love the use of Omegas with accents. I have a bit of a bias as a Latin and Greek major, I guess (though until I saw them in this font, I never realized how much they look like... something else)

I wouldn't call it an egg at all - especially considering your rating! It was fun and cute.

For some reason, the omegas between hydrogen and president pierce didnt show up for me. great quiz otherwise

I'm ashamed to admit I spent a good 2 minutes on 'COPRELS'. Egads.
Apr 8th, 2012 at 05:53 GMT
Sarahbelle: I didn't even GET 'coprels' - even used a scrabble solving website and they didn't know the answer.... I enjoyed the quiz, my only quibble being that Cosmopolitan is NOT a fashion magazine, except as designers use it to advertise their products. It's more a "how to improve your orgasm and the 10 sex tips that men want you to know" magazine.

Do I forfeit my "man card" because I thought the fashion magazines were easier than the beers?

Very nice quiz. Must have been hard to make. These types of quizzes never seize to amaze me. Well done
Apr 8th, 2012 at 12:16 GMT
Very good, marred only by the choice of one category which would be unknown to most people outside the USA. (I know I'll be voted down for saying this but it's still true)

'The client' didn't work for me.

I feel like I'm missing something. What does this have to do with Easter eggs? What's the purpose of all those round w-looking things? Was all that just to get to sporcle? Are the boxes supposed to look like eggs? To me, this was just an odd unscramble quiz.
Apr 9th, 2012 at 06:21 GMT
total guess on the Beatles song Blackbird.
Apr 9th, 2012 at 13:43 GMT
as a non-American the NBC comedies were the hardest, but eventually got them once I got past looking for words to go with "Spark".
Apr 10th, 2012 at 00:36 GMT
I think the part at the top is supposed to be like a place where you'd do an Easter egg hunt, and each answer is supposed to be like finding an egg, which is why that little egg-shaped symbol appears next to the answers. Still, the Easter-egg connection isn't very strong, so the entire half part of the quiz is a bit confusing looking if you don't sit and think about the title of the quiz for a while.
Jun 13th, 2012 at 17:02 GMT
It is REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY ANNOYING how EVERY QUIZ has to have something about the Beatles on it. I mean, they're just a band, why do they have to be everywhere? I know they had so many #1s and bla bla bla but they have their own Sporcle page!! It is pretty ridiculous.
Mar 24th, 2013 at 02:06 GMT
'The Office' and 'Parks And Rec' each have the 'the' and the 'and' scrambled, but if you type the shows with those words it will not take. Just bad form.
