Genius quiz! Although Sporcle-standard is to put Armenia in Asia (or at the very least note that you have placed it in Europe at the top). 5 globes!

One of the most original things I´ve seen on here. Very fun even though I barely got any. :)

Loved the quiz druhutch, but could have quite happily eaten the goose by the end of the story :)

the only critique I have, is that they aren't dialects, and more of accents that people have. But nice job

@Fuzzyhippos: I had always been taught the opposite (in the accent/dialect distinction) but it looks like the majority of the internet definitions are on your side. Either way, I think a tweaking of the title is in order.

I was surprised at how well I recognized some accents from similar areas. For one reason or another, countries like Poland and Peru came to me immediately.

Hey, this is a cool quiz, but I would reword the description a bit--when you say "English-speaking natives" it implies that english is their first language, but these are mostly non-native english speakers.

@Fuzzyhippos, @drhutch: the colloquial usage of “dialect”/“accent” in some parts of the US (and probably elsewhere too) is at odds with technical usage. In technical usage (and in colloquial usage many places), “dialect” is essentially about what grammar and vocabulary you use; “accent” is about how you pronounce things. Marvellous quiz, by the way — thankyou!

Great quiz. The Irish and Polish accents were the most charming to my ears.

I think it's appropriate to include both "dialect" and "accent" in the title. For the native English speakers, these are dialects. For the others, they're accents.

Awesome. The Ontario one made me nostalgic for home. And you can definitely tell which South American one is the Chilean accent, they talk so fast even in English. The French one was tricky though, there are lots of different French accents in English, sometimes it depends on where they learned English, at school or from TV!

I love how you can hear the Aussie guy holding back the laughs at Sarah and her not at all irritating goose.
