Awesome quiz. It was tricky of you to include Incredible Hulk #180 instead of #181. Hi Brad!

Also, that isn't Cable's first appearance. It's generally agreed upon that the New Mutants 87 appearance was his first, and they usually use the distinction "as Cable" to clarify it.

@pwtiii: I didn't vote you down and I'm not saying you're wrong about Cable, but ComicVine lists that book as his first appearance, and they're my cited source for the quiz.

Amazing Spider-Man 252 is NOT the first appearance of Venom, it is the first appearance of Spider-Man's black symbiote suit (which later would fall onto Eddie Brock creating Venom) in a Spider-Man franchise comic. The suit itself first appeared in in Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars 8. Venom didn't appear until he had a small cameo in the end of Amazing Spider-Man 298, with him fully appearing in issue 300.

Zatara should have worked for Action Comics # 1.

dsumm122233, you took the words right out of my mouth. I have issue 252 only because it's a lot more affordable than 300!

Wow, I actually own the Jimmy Olsen comic. I hated the whole Jack Kirby/New Gods story line, but it was a blast seeing my comic up there.

I quit playing when I saw Gambit's first appearance...a book I once had and has vanished with so many of my other comics. It made me sad to see it.

Yes, as two others have said there is no way that Amazing Spider-man 252 is the first appearance of Venom, it's not even the first appearance of the black suit.

Gambit is the bomb

Amazing Spider-Man #252 was the first appearance of the black costume to see print, so I'd count it as the first appearance of the costume, however, it wasn't the first continuity-wise as that happened in Secret Wars #8, which explains how he got it; the Secret Wars issue actually was published after the suit's first appearance in the Spider-Man comics. Still, I'd consider Venom's debut to be when the symbiote first appeared with Eddie Brock as host (which would be Amazing Spider-Man #298 going by the standard used for Wolverine's debut.) On a sidenote, I got all of them except for the More Fun Comics one.

I've got Gambit and Deadpool; someone make me an offer!
