| While a lot of these answers seem unusually highly ranked from our 2010 perspective, we have to keep in mind this is apparently sourced in 2005. At that time, Reagan had died less than 12 months previously, and most people feel an added sense of affinity for someone once they have recently passed. Bush also was viewed more highly then (not by yours truly) and Lance had a squeaky clean image livingstrongly. Beyond that, one might just find evidence that we Americans love our celebrities, whether they be political, stories of folklore, or in some cases, authentic solid accomplishments. |
