Marino went to the Superbowl in 1984 and Carson Palmer didn't play a down his rookie year, this is waaaay off.

There are 35 QB's who passed for 2,000+ yards in their first season collecting NFL stats. Here they are: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/play-index/tiny/wXYoC You would need to go through and eliminate guys like Carson Palmer who never played in their rookie season.

This is awful. Marino was part of the famous 83 draft class. Like West said, Palmer didn't play at all as a rookie.

Other commenters are right about Marino, but since Palmer did not play a down in his first year I think you're right that he was classified as a rookie. He's actually included on the list 2nd commenter posted link to...shortly before saying he should be removed.

@skyritz - Isn't the link cited by RichieW13 "first season collecting stats"? Therefore, if Palmer spent his entire rookie season on the bench then his first season collecting stats was his second season. Therefore, he should be on that list, but not in this quiz. He does say the list would need editing for this circumstance. Or have I missed something?

Marino played part of the 83 season. His 1984 season, which is his first full season, is still the most yardage of any quarterback all time (5,084 or so yards). By 1986 he was in his third year of starting. Please research better before posting things like this that waste our time (admittedly, it's all an effort to waste time, but you know what I mean). Good quiz idea, though, so just get the facts right.

I find this quiz unacceptable because it's about QBs and Testaverde didn't make it somehow.

If Palmer counts, wouldn't Kurt Warner's first MVP season count? Wasn't that his first season actually playing?
