	uh i have a couple problems with this. one is that you only count super bowls for championships, otherwise the lions, cardinals, eagles, and browns wouldnt be on the list. second, if you're not going to include the thunder then the wizards shouldn't be on the list either: see 1978 NBA Finals.

	i will only be counting super bowls because counting the pre-merger championships as championships is like giving teams a championship for winning the conference. we would then have to count AFL championships as well and the bills, oilers, and chargers would have to be counted as well... i missed the wizards mistake and that has been fixed

	i got it cause i know of this 'glitch' but you should change you answer in the data column to "columbus blue jackets/blue jackes"...otherwise the way sporcle is set up with 'accept one-word answers' the only way to get it the way you have it entered is to only type "jackets"...typing it the way i said accepts both jackets and blue jackets...

	the super bowl 'decision' is idiotic and ruins your quiz. how you can be a regular here and not realize this by now is beyond me. there have been numerous lengthy debates, and the consensus opinion has finally been that, per the NFL's own policy, pre-SB championships are equal to Super Bowl championships. for the few years pre-merger, if the SB winner was not the NFL champion, then the SB trumps the NFL title and is the NFL title. what about this is so difficult to understand?

	also your 'rationale' about it is particularly idiotic, and considering how dumb some of the arguments on this have been, that's saying something. to say pre-merger titles are equivalent to conference championships is to say there were leagues equal to the NFL - and not just immediately pre-merger, either, but for decades before that. because you're wiping out decades of NFL titles. now, what were these leagues, and why has no one but you ever heard of them?

	The NFL itself considers pre-Super Bowl championships as NFL championships. Go to http://www.nfl.com/superbowl/results/championships. It lists all of the championships and at the bottom says "Includes NFL Championship Games (1933-1969)".

	I don't understand how you can ignore decades of history in a great sport just because the championship game didn't have a catchy name before the mid Sixties. I guess the careers of guys like Jim Brown and Chuck Bednarik should be ignored because they played before the Super Bowl.
