Really creative quiz, especially if you watched all of the debates yourself and recorded each name. Surprised Jesus wasn't mentioned at least once.

I'm also not sure this should be in TV (though I wouldn't know where to put it otherwise- Miscellaneous?), but I'm making it an Editor's Pick anyway. Yet another great quiz, DB.

If this was my quiz, it would go in Miscellaneous or Entertainment. I didn't realize that as all these debates are televised, it could be considered TV.

I have to admit: The combination of this quiz name and the name of the quiz creator caused a really bad mental picture.

Great idea for a quiz. It doesn't accept Geithner, though. Only the full name.

Hey, folks! Thank you to everyone who's played this quiz. As many of you know, there's a Republican debate in just a few hours. I'll be counting real-time and will be updating the quiz after the debate tonight. I'll be re-watching for accuracy tomorrow, so this quiz should be 100% accurate for the next three weeks or so starting tomorrow. Thanks for your patience while I count.

to make a debate fun you can make a rule where you have to drink everytime you hear the word "plan"

Don't know why Annie1 got voted down. My first guess was Jesus. I'm shocked he hasn't been mentioned three times given all the evangelical candidates.

I haven't seen all of the debates (there's sooooooo many), but this list is very indicative of the hotbed issues in America right now; i.e. domestic issues and the economy. 5 economists make the list, but only 1 current foreign leader. I'm a little bit surprised that major world players like Angela Merkel, Hu Jintao, and Vladimir Putin/Dmitry Medvedev aren't being discussed at all.

(whoops, hit the comment button by mistake) ...and I know they've been talking about Afghanistan and Iraq, and I'm really surprised no one is mentioning Hamid Karzai or Nouri al-Malaki by name

"Huh? Why were they mentioning an obscure Atlanta Braves infielder from the 1980s so much?" (looks up Glenn Hubbard, learns it's a conservative economist dude) "Oh."

@burnsy If there's one thing Republicans don't want to talk about, it's jobs. [rereads] Oh, STEVE Jobs. That's different.

@Djibouti: At least half these candidates couldn't tell you those names if you asked for them. Anybody else get a lot of the answers by trying to think of people Republicans don't like?

Suggest you allow alternate spellings for Gaddafi (i.e. Ghaddafi, Quaddafi, Qaddafi); its a transliteration of a foreign alphabet, so they're all kind of right.

@TrivialSteve: Sadly, there's a maximum number of characters allowed per answer and I hit that limit without breaking a sweat. I kept the ones that I felt people had the best chance of guessing.

I'm most surprised that Ronald Reagan was only mentioned 50 times. I thought it was mandatory for each candidate to mention him at least 50 times in every public appearance.

Kudos on the research with all the bonuses. Okay, granted, that meant that I was guessing a lot of people with less than 3 mentions, but then again, I haven't watched the debates. I work nights.

This is basically just a quiz of "What are Republicans blaming things on during these debates?" Let's see...Obama, both Clintons, Dodd-Frank, foreign leaders with scary sounding names, Dem leaders, the Treasury Department...yup, basically all the people whose "fault" it is. After all, why else would they be debating about it?

Yes, the Republicans are evil for mentioning Demorcat leaders. I'm sure if you did a quiz on the 2008 Democrat debates you wouldn't see any mention of Bush, Cheney, etc.
