| There are only four possiblities for an answer to this. Panama which sits in both the north american and south american plates only if you believe the sources which cite the Panama Canal as the dividing line. Panama does not qualify if you believe the sources which cite the Darien Watershed as the dividing line as this makes up the border between Panama and Colombia. France which has territories near Canada (St. Pierre and Miquelon), the Caribbean (Martinique, St. Martin, etc) all on the North Amercian and Caribbean Plates and on the South American continent and plate in the form of French Guiana. Denmark has territory in North America as Greenland is on the North American plate, the Caribbean plate has St. Maarten and other islands and Aruba sits on the norther continental sheof the the South American plate, making it technically part of the South American continent. The United Kingdom has islands in the Caribbean (Montserrat, Anguilla, etc) as well as on the South American plate (Faulklands). |
